Empowering Youth Through Sport, Literacy & Leadership
We’re a registered Canadian charity committed to uplifting at-risk youth through education, leadership, and sport—through programs like the Junior Blues Sports Program, Grow A Writer, Resilience Lab and the Rising Star Awards Gala.

Our Approach
How we support youth
At the National Capital Blues Foundation, our approach centers on using education, creative expression, and physical activity to support the well-being of youth. We deliver accessible programs, including free sports training, literacy development through writing contests, and educational bursaries, to empower young people, especially those from underserved communities. By working collaboratively with local partners and listening to the needs of families, we ensure our programs are inclusive, sustainable, and rooted in community.
Leadership
Programs that help youth develop confidence, communication, and decision-making skills.
Resilience
Supportive mentorship and activities that build coping skills and perseverance.
Strength
Access to sports and positive routines that promote healthy habits and self-belief.
Programs
Support that meets youth where they are
From after-school sports to mentorship and creative expression, our programs help youth build skills for life.
Impact stories
Throughout the years, our organization has influenced numerous youths through our diverse array of programs. Witnessing youths who have flourished and evolved into positive role models within our community is truly gratifying. We take pride in the transformative and constructive impact we have had on their lives.
